El Datprot.exe es un componente esencial de la falsa aplicación de seguridad llamada Data Protection. El Datprot.exe se propaga con troyanos, y, una vez dentro de una PC, crea una entrada de inicio en el registro. El Datprot.exe es capaz de lanzar falsos escaneos, alertas y advertencias de seguridad.
